Store Tour

Merci concept store has everything from designers like Isabelle Marant to eco-friendly furniture. Located in an old wallpaper factory, the store is set up like someones home. Lingerie and clothing laying across the bed and drawers spilling over with garments.
Merci is a 4-story haven, featuring a flower store, a used book shop, a perfume bar, designer clothing, a kids boutique, a fabric shop and more.
Furniture, clothing, and other pieces for the home are all donated by designers like YSL, Stella McCartney, Azzaro, Alexis Mabille and Marni.
100% of the proceeds from Merci go to a homeless charity in Madagascar called Accueil des Sans-abri. The store was started by Bernard and Marie-France Cohen, founders of Bonpoint clothing, (by the way- the most gorgeous french kids clothing line).

Spotlight On...

I came across this ceramic studio set up by two very creative friends. Check out what they have to say about their own work.

"PIPI-VÅNG was founded in 2007 by Jessika Blomqvist-Hindsö and Charlott Saltarski, two product designers/craft workers working together as a designer duo.
Jessika and Charlott were trained at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen, within the Institute for Product Design, department for glass and ceramics.

The PIPI-VÅNG studio is based in Malmö, Sweden, and here products that combine the best from contemporary design and craft – in design and concept – are developed and produced.

PIPI-VÅNG has developed a technique focusing on the strength and elegance of the white bone china. Every sample is hand made and unique with a vivid perforated pattern/structure. The products are available in various sizes and can be used as candle holders or flower pots. " BY PIPI-VANG

Candle Votives

I just purchased these beautiful candle votives at Pottery Barn at a great price $3.50 each. What a steal!
They are small, but make a big impact in any space.

Furniture

These norwergian wooden stumps are very unique. Every piece goes through a long process from cutting and cleaning to drying, sanding and finally painting. There are no two alike. They will look great in a modern, minimalist interior as well as in a traditional, rustic house. You can find more about them at http://www.krosser.no/

Shopping List

I want to purchase some mercury and dimond cut embosssed glass votives like those pictured below.
